35TH INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL

18 to 21 July 2001

This year’s event is dedicated to two themes: Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Along with the great diversity of Christmas and harvest traditions in Croatia, there will be some accents and similarities, similarities and differences of these traditions in other peoples, which will be shown by foreign participants of Smotre.

The program includes two ethno music concerts with more foreign and domestic participants, an exhibition of Croatian traditions of Croatian tradition, a concert of Croatian folk music related to the wider Christmas season and the following holidays.

This year there will be several anniversaries: the 50th anniversary of the Concert Directorate of Zagreb, MSF organizer, the 20th anniversary of the Zagreb Summer Evenings, in which the International Folklore Festival and the 35th anniversary of Smotre itself will be organized.
